VIRÉ-CLESSÉ
Recognized in 1998, the Viré-Clessé appellation is the first Village AOC from the Mâconnais area. Exclusively dedicated to Chardonnay, it produces white wines with beautiful structure and great richness. Located between Tournus and Mâcon, this appellation takes its name from the communes of Viré and Clessé, which offer remarkable terroirs and an authentic expression of the grape variety, combining elegance and minerality.

TERROIR & VINIFICATION
The Viré-Clessé vineyard, established on one of the easternmost chains of the Mâconnais, benefits from an eastern exposure and extends between 200 and 440 meters in altitude. Its soils rich in limestone, clay, and silica promote the maturity and aromatic fineness of the grapes. The plot-by-plot aging, carefully adapted to each terroir, allows for expressing all the singularity and typicity of each cuvée, thus enhancing the purity of the fruit.

FOOD & WINE PAIRINGS
Ideal as an aperitif, this wine perfectly accompanies fish and shellfish, enhancing their delicacy. Its aromatic intensity also pairs well with tender meats in sauce, such as veal, as well as with sautéed vegetables, seafood gratins, and goat cheeses, for a gourmet and refined pairing.
Ideal serving temperature: 11 to 13°C.

This Viré-Clessé displays a luminous golden color with green reflections. It reveals an intense bouquet where citrus and pear mingle, supported by a marked minerality. On the palate, it combines roundness, freshness, and a beautiful length, offering a harmonious balance and superb aromatic intensity.
