SANTENAY 1ER CRU
LA COMME

Among the most remarkable climats of the appellation, La Comme stands out for its southeast exposure and favorable microclimate, allowing the grapes to achieve perfect ripeness. Located on soils rich in gravel, marl, and limestone, this terroir imparts notable structure and impressive richness to its wines, making this cru one of the finest and most elegant of the appellation.

TERROIR & VINIFICATION

The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted to select only the best bunches. Vinification is carried out with precision and respect for the fruit, followed by over a year’s aging in oak barrels in our Beaune cellars. This process brings beautiful aromatic complexity and a silky texture to the wine, while preserving the finesse of the terroir.

FOOD & WINE PAIRINGS

This wine pairs harmoniously with refined and flavorful dishes such as eggplant lasagna, coq au vin, game meats, or duck in green pepper sauce. It also perfectly enhances Asian-style lacquered and caramelized poultry. For cheese, opt for soft, creamy varieties such as Brie de Meaux, Pont-l’Évêque, Cîteaux, or Reblochon to achieve a truly balanced pairing.

Ideal serving temperature: 15 to 16 °C.

TASTING NOTES

On the palate, it charms with its airy gourmandise, silky texture, and elegant tannins.
