POMMARD 1ER CRU
Located just 3 km south of Beaune, Pommard is one of Burgundy’s most prestigious appellations. Dedicated exclusively to red wines, its vineyards thrive on deep, clay-limestone soils that impart power, structure, and character. Situated at 280 meters on well-exposed hillsides, this unique terroir produces age-worthy wines, renowned for their intensity and robust framework.

TERROIR & VINIFICATION
The grapes, hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, are gently transported to our cellars in Beaune, where they are vinified with utmost care. Aged for over 18 months in oak barrels, the wine develops impressive aromatic complexity and refines its tannic structure, all while preserving its innate elegance.

FOOD & WINE PAIRINGS
This exceptional wine pairs beautifully with bold-flavored dishes such as hare terrine, sautéed kidneys with red berries, or a prime grilled Charolais beef. It also elevates braised or roasted game, whether furred or feathered. When it comes to cheese, it matches excellently with assertively flavored varieties like Munster, Livarot, or Langres.
Ideal serving temperature: 16–18 °C.

TASTING NOTES
This Pommard displays a deep red, purple-ruby hue. Its powerful and opulent bouquet reveals intense aromas of blackberry, blueberry, black cherry, and ripe plum. With age, it evolves towards wilder, spicier notes of leather, pepper, and roasted accents. The palate is rounded and fleshy, offering a firm, chewy tannic structure—hallmarks of truly great, age-worthy wines.
