MONTHÉLIE

Located between Volnay and Auxey-Duresses, the Monthélie vineyard covers just 130 hectares, making this appellation a true Burgundian treasure. Nestled on slopes facing south and southeast, the vines benefit from soils rich in Bathonian limestone, red clay, and marl, which grant the wines elegance and finesse. On the slopes of the Auxey-Duresses valley, east- or west-facing exposures bring a beautiful diversity of expression.

TERROIR & VINIFICATION

The vinification, carried out with passion and tradition, follows a meticulous process to preserve the structure and balance of the wine. Aging for several months in barrels refines the tannins and enhances the aromatic complexity. This expertise brings Monthélie a beautiful harmony between power and finesse.

FOOD & WINE PAIRINGS

Ideal for accompanying meat pies, roasted poultry, or tender lamb, this wine also pairs perfectly with offal, such as grilled andouillettes, sweetbreads, or liver. When it comes to cheese, it beautifully complements creamy soft cheeses like Brillat-Savarin or Brie, offering an extremely indulgent tasting experience.

Ideal serving temperature: 16 to 18°C.

TASTING NOTES

This Monthélie displays a brilliant ruby color. Its intense nose reveals aromas of cherry and blackcurrant, lifted by spicy notes, roasted coffee, and toasted bread. On the palate, it stands out for its freshness and velvety texture, supported by delicate and refined tannins that give it an almost feminine elegance.
