CHASSAGNE-MONTRACHET

A true gem of the Côte de Beaune, the white wine from Chassagne-Montrachet is one of the most refined expressions of the Chardonnay grape. Produced on rich, limestone and clay soils, it offers remarkable minerality, a signature of the Burgundian terroir.

TERROIR & VINIFICATION

The village of Chassagne-Montrachet, located south of the Côte de Beaune, is renowned worldwide for its high-quality white wines. This appellation produces elegant and refined wines, with a relatively limited production of 60 hectares. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted to ensure exceptional quality. The wine is then aged in wooden barrels in our cellar in Beaune.

FOOD & WINE PAIRINGS

This white wine pairs beautifully with delicate dishes like a red mullet fillet with spices, roasted fish, or scallops. It is also excellent with richer and more elaborate dishes, such as an escargot puff pastry or a meat pie.

Ideal serving temperature: 12 to 14 °C.

TASTING NOTES

The Chassagne-Montrachet exhibits an expressive and fresh nose, with notes of hawthorn and ripe fruit. The palate is mineral and invigorating, with a lovely freshness that balances the richness of the wine. The youth of the wine highlights white flowers, citrus, and hints of almond. This wine displays a beautiful balance between richness and freshness, with a lingering finish that invites further tasting.
